raw bounty slice

Reminiscent of a delicious bounty bar – only, it’s better for you! With no nasties, this raw bounty slice is perfect for anyone in the family and super quick & easy to create. This fridge/freezer set dessert is the perfect way to get the little ones involved in the kitchen – get them to measure, pour & stir ingredients. A weekend activity for the whole family!

INGREDIENTS:

Base

  • 2 cups OWN blanched almond meal
  • 2 cups OWN Insecticide Free almonds
  • 1 tbsp OWN coconut oil
  • 5 organic pitted dates

Coconut layer

  • 3 cups OWN desiccated coconut
  • 1 cup Absolute Organic coconut cream
  • 2 tbsp pure harvest rice malt syrup

Chocolate layer

  • ½ cup OWN coconut oil
  • 4 tbsp OWN cacao
  • 2 tbsp Absolute Organic maple syrup
METHOD:
  1. Blend together base ingredients until the form a crumble texture & press firmly into lined baking tray, if the base doesn’t stick together add a few more dates and a tsp of water (the bigger your tray the thinner your layers will be)
  2. Stir together coconut layer ingredients and press firmly on top of base layer – place in freezer for this to set whilst you are preparing the chocolate layer
  3. In a small saucepan gently heat coconut oil and add maple syrup and cacao and stir until a chocolate sauce is formed. Be careful not to boil (use a low heat)
  4. Remove sauce from heat and pour over slice – return to freezer and allow to set until hard, then cut into desired shapes

Enjoy!

Hi! We’re sorry that we had missed this when uploading our recipe! IF stands for Insecticide Free. Our OWN branded packaged almonds are Insecticide Free, but of course it is not totally necessary to source some for this recipe. 🙂
