Vegetarian Patties! YUM. Packed with goodness these delicious patties can be whacked on a big burger or enjoyed in a salad bowl. Black beans are a great source of protein leaving you feeling completely satisfied. We’ve added the Superfeast Jing powders to this recipe – Jing combines the most revered Jing herbs of the Taoist system into a powerful tonic and is aimed at helping with kidneys and adrenals.
Ingredients:
- 2 cans Ceres black beans
- ¼ cup organic kale (chopped finley)
- ¼ cup organic red cabbage (chopped finely)
- 1 tbsp Superfeast JING powder
- 1 tbsp Superfeast MUSHROOMS powder
- ½ tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup OWN almond meal
- ½ lemon (juiced)
- salt and pepper
Method:
- Strain and wash black beans. Place in bowl and mash, be sure to leave a few whole beans for texture. (I do this part with my hands I find it easiest)
- Combine the rest of the ingredients in the bowl
- Heat a large fry pan with a touch of olive oil on medium heat
- Form patty shapes (we made five large patties but you could make whatever size you desire)
- Cook patties for about 5-7 each side or until golden brown
- Enjoy! (we loved serving ours with salad & lemon squeezed over the top)
