Did you know:
Tahini is made from sesame seeds. It is an excellent source of calcium, protein and amino and fatty acids. This dressing also makes for a delicious dip for fresh vegetable sticks and a spread for sandwiches.
Gluten free, Dairy free, Vegan
Ingredients:
1 cup hulled tahini
1 tbsp rice malt syrup
1 tbsp hot English mustard
1 tsp fresh grated ginger
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tsp salt
1 cup rice bran oil
½ cup water
Method:
1. Place tahini, syrup, mustard, ginger and salt into a food processor and process til combined. Add apple cider vinegar and process until combined and slightly thickened.
2. Slowly add oil in a thick continuous stream until you have a thick and creamy dressing. Add water by the spoonful if dressing becomes too thick.
3. Bottle and refrigerate until use.
*This heavenly dressing is the star of the super green salad – a combination of mixed lettuce leaves, fresh apple slices, sprouted mung beans, activated sunflower seeds and green beans.
