A Kunara take of Jamie Oliver’s granola dust recipe, this breakfast mix is an essential superfood staple in the pantry.
Oats provide plenty of energy and heart-healthy beta glucans to help last you throughout the day. Nuts and chia seeds are packed with nourishing fats, vitamins and protein, while dried fruit provides a hit of natural sweetness. Adding coffee helps invigorate your brain for the day ahead, and of course we all love the amazing benefits of cacao powder; being tonnes of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. This mix is a balanced and highly nutritious alternative to sugar-laden cereals that you’ll love nourishing your body with each day.
Ingredients
2 cups organic rolled oats
1 cup raw nuts (e.g. almonds, cashews, walnuts)
1/2 cup certified organic chia seeds
1/2 cup organic dried fruit (e.g. cranberries, dates)
1 tsp organic ground coffee
2 tsp certified organic cacao powder
Optional: 1 tsp Australian bee pollen
Method
- On a large baking tray, toast the oats and nuts at 180C for 10 minutes.
- Blitz all ingredients in a food processor until it’s a fine consistency.
- Serve with milk, milk alternative or yoghurt and fresh fruit for the ultimate powerhouse breakfast.
Store in an air-tight container.
