The terms ‘healthy’ and ‘salted caramel’ don’t usually go together, but the great news is they finally can! This nourishing dip is a great after school snack for the kids with some sliced apple or crackers. It also adds a delicious flavour drizzled over porridge in the mornings. Ingredients
Water for soaking
2 Cups Organic Kunara Own Dates
¼ Cup Kunara Own Almond Butter
1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
½ Tsp. Kunara Own Himalayan Salt Coarse
1 Vanilla Bean, seeds removed
Method
- In a large bowl, soak the dates for 3-4 hours. Remove the dates using a slotted spoon and leave the water to the side.
- Add the dates, almond butter, lemon juice, salt and vanilla bean to a food processor and blend until smooth.
- Add the soaking water gradually until you reach the desired consistency. If you’re looking for something delicious to drizzle over your morning porridge, simply add a bit more water for a thinner consistency.
