The not-so-secret ingredients are good coffee beans and crunchy hazelnuts.
Simply blitz all of the base ingredients together. Blitz all of the filling ingredients together and there you have it, a delicious, healthy raw slice for morning tea tomorrow.
I love this recipe as it is so easy, but also because it is so versatile. Don’t feel like coffee one day? Simply replace the coffee for some lemon juice and lemon rind. This is a great base recipe for all of your raw slice dreams.
Ingredients
Base Ingredients
- 1/4 tsp Nothing But Organic Coffee Beans
- 1/2 cup Flannerys OWN rolled oats
- 1 cup Flannerys OWN Raw Hazelnuts, soaked in hot water for 1 hour
- 1/2 cup Flannerys OWN Dates, soaked in hot water for 1 hour
- 1/4 cup Absolute Organic Pure Maple Syrup
- Filling Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Absolute Organic Pure Maple Syrup
- 1/4 tsp Nothing But Organic Coffee Beans
- 1 cup Nakula Organic Coconut Cream
- 1 cup cashew nuts
Method:
- Add all base ingredients to a food processor or high-speed blender and blitz until well combined.
- Line a banana loaf tin with baking paper.
- Place the base crumb into the tin, pressing down with your fingers to form an even layer.
- Add all of the filling ingredients to the food processor and blitz until well combined.
- Pour the filling over the base layer, sprinkle with extra coffee and place into the freezer overnight.
- When you are ready to serve the slice, remove it from the freezer an hour prior to serving. Enjoy!
