We are very excited to hear about the initiative that local coffee supplier Kai Coffee has been making. Having started the company five years ago with a passion to use the world’s second largest traded commodity ‘coffee’ to generate funds to help children in poverty.
Kai Coffee currently donates two dollars for every kilo of coffee they roast to rescue children in developing nations. Their current projects include The Shepherd Centre in Kabale Uganda where they support a children’s home with 22 boys rescued from the streets and sponsoring 8 children with World Vision Australia and 2 children with Compassion Australia. As they grow, Kai Coffee will continue to sponsor more children with the goal of sponsoring 1,000 children by 2020!
It is so fantastic to hear of initiatives like this taking place in our area.
In June, we are looking forward to letting all of our customers taste test this delicious coffee.
